EN 1997, SFR. 25'000.- POUR 25 ANS D'INNOVATION

L'innovation fait avancer les idées, les gens et le monde. L'innovation est le sel qui change la saveur d'un plat mais c'est aussi la force des vagues océaniques. Sans innovation, sans invention, sans faim de recherche, est-ce que nous marcherions debout ?

Justement, dans nos civilisations modernes mêmes, il est des personnes qui ont de la peine à marcher, qui ne peuvent plus marcher. Etre invalide de naissance ou par accident, même en Suisse c'est dur. Qu'en est-il dans les pays moins développés? C'est encore plus tragique! Qui aujourd'hui peut penser que demain il sera peut-être aveugle, invalide sur son lit ou dans un fauteuil roulant. Le destin! Justement donnons un coup de pouce au destin pour favoriser la recherche en faveur des handicapés et du bien-être dans la vie quotidienne. IRO avec un l'appui d'un généreux sponsor, TAMOIL, lancent un prix pour encourager la recherche en faveur des handicapés.

Conditions

  • Le concours TAMOIL-IRO est ouvert à tous les participants du Salon international des inventions de Genève. Les décisions du jury seront sans appel. Les premières bourses d'une valeur totale de CHfr 25'000.- seront attribuées pendant le 25e Salon en 1997.
  • Le jury primera une invention d'un inventeur Suisse, CHfr 10'000.-. Une invention d'un inventeur d'une autre nation, CHfr 10'000.- et une invention exposée dans l'un des 24 salons précédents, CHfr 5'000.-.
  • Le prix devra contribuer au développement de l'oeuvre. Le jury pourra s'entretenir avec les nominés afin de connaître la motivation des chercheurs avant l'attribution des bourses et distinctions.
  • Les oeuvres primées devront apporter une contribution notoire à l'amélioration de la vie de personnes handicapées, sur le plan de la mobilité, du bien-être, du confort. Ces découvertes ou applications pourront aussi être utilisées par l'ensemble de la population dans le déroulement de la vie quotidienne à la maison ou au travail.
  • Aucune correspondance ne sera échangée. Les noms des lauréats seront annoncés à la presse. Les prix seront remis par chèque nominatif au nom de l'exposant inscrit au catalogue du Salon.

TAMOIL scholarships. Award for innovation in conjunction with the 25th Salon international des inventions et des techniques nouvelles de Genève

Innovation makes for new ideas, advancing mankind and the world. Innovation is the salt enhancing the flavour of a meal but it is also the power of the ocean's waves. Would we walk upright without innovation, without invention, without eagerness of research?

In fact, even in our modern civilisation, there are people having great difficulties in walking. Some are even completely incapable of doing so. To be handicapped by birth or by accident is difficult to live with, even in Switzerland. How about facing these problems in less developed countries? It is by far more tragic! Who imagines that tomorrow he may be blind, handicapped, bedridden or in a wheelchair? Fate! Let's therefore help destiny by supporting research for handicapped people bringing well-being in daily life. IRO with the support of a magnanimous sponsor, TAMOIL, has launched an award to encourage research in aide of handicapped persons.

Conditions

  • The TAMOIL-IRO competition is open to all participants of the Salon international des inventions de Genève. Jury decisions are final. The first scholarship, worth SFr. 25"000.- will be awarded during the 25th Fair in 1997.
  • The jury will award a price of SFr. 10'000.- for an invention by a Swiss inventor. A second award of SFr. 10'000.- will be given to an inventor from another country. The third award of SFr. 5'000.- will be awarded for an invention exhibited in one of the 24 previous fairs.
  • The awarded sums will have to contribute to the development of the inventions. Before giving the award, the jury is entitled to interview the nominees in order to learn more about their motivation.
  • Awarded inventions will have to make a notable contribution to the improvement of living conditions for handicapped persons, specially in the fields of mobility, well-being and comfort. These discoveries or inventions will have to be useful to everybody in their daily life, at home or at work.
  • Winners will not be notified by mail. The names of the prize winners will be announced to the press. The awards will be transmitted by means of a cheque bearing the name of the exhibitor, as indicated in the catalogue of the Fair.
